Dr. Payman Pirnazar, Pediatric Dentist

Q:
At what age should I take my child to see a dentist?
A: Remember: "1st BabyTeeth Visit By 1st Birthday!"

We recommend that a child's visit be made with a Pediatric Dentist within 6 months after eruption of the first baby teeth or before1 year of age. With early parental education and proper instruction such problems may be PREVENTED rather than having to be restored.

A 3 year old that first comes to our office has an average of 3 to 4 cavities. This problem, referred to as Early Childhood Tooth Decay, is in many cases due to poor oral hygiene and improper use of the nursing bottle.
